The Prophet of Allah (a.s.v.) said: “By Allah Whose hands lies my life, if you continued in the same as you are when with me remembering Allah, the Angels would come down to shake hands with you when you are in your beds and in the streets. 10- “An intelligent person should divide his time into three parts: he should worship his God in one part, he should control his self and call to account and he should spare the other part for his living.” (10)

11- “I do not amass two fears and two mercies on My servant: I frighten in the Hereafter the one who does not fear Me and I do not torture in the next world the one who fears Me in this world.” (11)

12- Muaz ibn-i Cebel (r.a.) said that he heard from the Prophet (a.s.v.) as follows: “Allah the Most High said: ‘For those who love one another for My sake, there will be high seats of light that will be envy of prophets and martyrs’ ”. (12)

THE HOLY TRADITIONS ABOUT SPIRITUAL BOND

1- “A believer is the mirror of a believer.” (1)

2- “Our great Prophet said: “Looking at Ali’s face is considered as worship.” (2)

3- “Seek the goodness near the people who have beautiful faces.” (3)

4- “Abu Zer (r.a.) tells: “I asked the Prophet: ‘O the Prophet of Allah! What about a person who loves a people but has not yet been admitted to do the same?’ The Prophet said: “O Abu Zer! You are with the people whom you love.” I said: ‘I love Allah and His Apostle.’ The Prophet said: ‘You are surely with those whom you love.’ I repeated it three times and he gave the same answer three times.” (4)

5- Our Prophet (a.s.v.) said: “Allah the Most High away sends away calamity from a hundred houses for the sake of a pious Muslim.” (5)

6- Our Prophet (a.s.v.) says: “There are such people among the Friends of Allah that they are not Prophets or Martyrs but the Prophets and Martyrs will envy them for the blessings and ranks Allah bestowed upon them. The Companions: “O the Prophet! Will you tell us who they are?” The Prophet (a.s.v.) said: ‘They are the ones who love each other mutually for the sake of Allah although they have no kinship and physical relations between them. Their faces shine like Divine Light and they sit on divine light thrones. They are not afraid when other people are afraid, they are not sad when other people are sad.’ Then he said: “Know that the friends of Allah will have nothing to fear or regret.” (Yunis, 62-63) (6)

7-The Prophet (a.s.v.) said: ‘The most blessed people among the gatherings you will attend are the pious people who remind you Allah, whose speech increases your knowledge, whose behaviors encourage you to work for the next world.’ (7)

8- Hz. Prophet (a.s.v.): “A person is likely to follow the faith of his friend, so everybody should pay attention to whom he becomes a friend with.” (8)

9- Hz. Prophet (a.s.v.) said: “When the Day of Resurrection comes, the family relations, the blood relations are cut off, there is no brotherhood but there is only the brotherhood which is built for the sake of Allah.” (9)

“Friends shall on that day become enemies to one another, except the God-fearing.” (Al-Zukhruf, 67)

10- Our Prophet (a.s.v.) said: ‘By Allah in whose hands my life, a person who does not love me more than his self, his people, his children and all the people is not considered to have faith in me.” (10)

11- The Prophet (a.s.v.) said: “Spirits are like the armies lined as groups. Those who have met each other there will meet here (in the world) and like each other. Those who do not get along with each other there are also enemies here.” (11)

12- Hz. Prophet of Allah (a.s.v.) said: “There are 70.000 dark and divine light veils between Allah and His servant. If these curtains were opened, the divine Light of Allah’s face would burn everything.” (12)

13- The Prophet of Allah (a.s.v.) says: “My God! I pray you to bestow on me the eagerness of meeting You!” (13)

14- Our Dear Prophet (a.s.v.) says: “The heart is the house of Allah.” (14)

15- Our Prophet (a.s.v.) said: “The stars are the mercy of the people of the Sky, My Ahl al Bayt (My Family) is the mercy for My People.” (15)

16- Our Prophet (a.s.v.) said: “The dream of a believer is one of the 46 parts of the Prophethood.” (16)

17- Our Dear Prophet (a.s.v.) said: “A person who saw me in his dream has really seen me because satan cannot impersonate me.” (17)

18- Our Prophet (a.s.v.) said: “Whoever knows his self knows his Lord”. (18)

19- Our Prophet says: “Allah does not go after your bodies and appearances but He scans your hearts.” (19)

Ibn Abbas said inTahiyat: “While he was saying: ‘Es-selamü aleyke eyyühennebiyyü’, he would imagine the Prophet of Allah in front of the eye of his heart. He attached himself to the Prophet (to the spiritual bond) so much so that he saw the Prophet in the mirror instead of himself.

311- “While the Prophet (s.a.v.) was on the Hira Mountain, Gabriel came near him: ‘O the Prophet! Here comes Hatice! She is coming towards you. She has a pan with her, she must have something to eat or drink for you. When Hatice comes near you, tell greetings to her from your Great Lord and from Me and give her the good news that she will reside in a palace made of diamond in Paradise. There will be no noise, no trouble, no overwork or hardship there.’ ” (313) Abu Zur said he narrated this from Abu Hurayra (r.a.):

(313) Sahihi Muslim, Fedaili’s Sahabe, 2432

314- “Ali (k.v.), the son of Hz. Husayn told it to me and he learned it from Misver Ibn Mahver: While Hz. Ali (k.v.) ibn Ebi Talib was married to the Prophet’s daughter Fatima, he wanted to get engaged to the daughter of Abu Jahil. When Fatima heard this, she went to the Prophet and said: ‘(Dad!) Your people are talking among themselves that you do not get angry because of your daughters. See, Ali is going to be engaged to the daughter of Abu Jahil.’ Misver said that when the Prophet heard this, he stood up and I heard him saying: ‘There is no God but Allah and Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah.’ After this (after pronouncing the Formula Elhamdulillah and reciting the profession of Faith of Islam), he said: ‘I wedded Zaynab to Abu’l Ass ibn Rabia. He promised me not to marry anyone after Zaynab and he behaved correctly on his promise. Surely, Fatima is a part separated from Muhammad. I surely do not like the people make mischief on her and I swear by Allah that the daughter of Muhammad can never live together with the daughter of Allah’s enemy.’ Kavi said Hz. Ali (k.v.) gave up marrying the daughter of Abu Jahil after he heard this.” (316) From Zuhri:

(316) Sahihi Muslim, Fedaili’s Sahabe, 96

315- “Give me some advice Ebel Hasan! Hz. Ali said thereupon: ‘Do not suspect what you believe closely and do not hesitate on what you know well. Do not think that your supposition is true! Know very well that what you give for the sake of Allah, the time you spent for His consent and your dealing justly for His sake and what you wear and make worn out are beneficial while you live in this world!’ ” (317) From Ibnu Abbas (r.a.):

(317) Hadislerle Müslümanlık, vol. 5, p. 1876

316- “You told the truth Ebel Hasan! He responded.

Ali b. Abu Talib (r.a.) said to Hz. Omar:

-O the Commander of the Believers! If reaching the ranks of your two friends (The Prophet and Hz. Abubakir) make you happy, do not be ambitious! Eat less, do not lengthen your gown too much and mend your old shirts and your old shoes. Then, you can reach them!” (318) From Hz. Omar (r.a.):

(318) Hadislerle Müslümanlık vol. 5, p. 1876

317- “Blessing does not rely on having a lot of property and children. It lies under being a great scholar and very gentle and rising people by making them worship Allah. If you commit a good deed, praise Allah; if you commit a sin, implore forgiveness. Only two people are blessed in the world, one: a person that commits sin but compensate it with repentance right away, the other is the one who races with others in doing good works. The deeds done with the fear of Allah are valuable. How can a deed that is accepted be disregarded?” (319) From Hz. Ali (k.v.):

(319) Hadislerle Müslümanlık, vol. 5, p. 1877

318- “When Ibnu Mulcem wounded Ali (k.v.), Hasan (r.a.) came to his presence weeping. He asked: ‘Why are you crying, son?’

He said: ‘Why should I not cry? You are at the end of the life of this world and at the beginning of the life hereafter.’ Hz. Ali said:

‘My Son! If you follow these two pieces of advice that consists of four pieces of advice, you will never be harmed in your works!’ He asked him what they were and he said:

‘The greatest wealth is intelligence and the greatest poverty is stupidity. The greatest loneliness is arrogance and the greatest virtue is good morality.’

He said: ‘Dad, they are only four of them, can you tell me the rest of them?’ Hz. Ali (k.v.) continued: ‘Beware making friends with the fool because he does harm to you while he tries to do good! Do not be a friend with a liar because he makes you to be away from what is near you and near from what is away from you! Do not make friends with mean people as they make you away from what you need most! Beware making friends with sinners because they sell you cheaply!’ ” (320) From Ukbe b. Sahba:

(320) Hadislerle Müslümanlık, vol. 5, p. 1877

319- “The work done in the right place and at the right time is the most favorable guide. The most favorable action is the good morality. The most favorable friend is the intelligence. The most favorable inheritance is good manners. Arrogance is the most stressful loneliness.” (321) From Hz. Ali (k.v.):

(321) Beyhaki; Ibnu Asakir, Kenz, vol. 8 p.236

320- “From Muhammad bin Hasan: When Amr b. Sa’d came near to Imam Husayn, Hz. Husayn came to the exact opinion that they would kill him. After giving praise and glory to Allah the Almighty, he delivered a speech to his friends and said: You know what had happened so far. The world changed and became bad. The good ones and the good deeds have gone away, there is only sediment left. The afflictions and hardship of life have remained like the hard pastures. Do you not see? People do not deal justly and falsehood cannot prevented. Believers should desire to reach Allah. I consider death as happiness for it is a stress for me to live with the cruel.’

‘People!’ The Prophet of Allah (s.a.v.) said:

‘Whoever sees a sinful administrator that makes the things forbidden by Allah legitimate and breaks the rules of Allah, objects to the Sunnah of the Prophet, treats the servants of Allah sinfully and with antagonism and not to try to correct him with his words and behaviors, Allah accepts him as a partner of the same sins. Pay attention! They followed Satan, left the obedience to Merciful and caused mischief. They did not apply canonical judgments. They preferred the spoils taken without war. They made what is unlawful lawful and what is lawful unlawful.

I am more deserving to correct them than they are. Your letter has come to me. Your envoys have sworn fealty to me that you will not surrender me to them and not leave me alone. If you keep your promise, you will do the right thing. I am Husayn, the son of Ali. I am the son of Fatima, the daughter of the Prophet of Allah. I am together with you. My family is also together with you. You must obey me as well. If you do not act in this way, you will violate your agreement and not keep your fealty and this will be not good for you then. You have already done it to my father, my brother and my nephew.’ ” (322) From Hz. Ali’s son Imam Husayn (a.s.):

(322) Taberani, Mecmauz Zevaid, vol.9, p. 93; Tarih-i Ibni Cerir, vol.4, p.305

321- “The son of Ali Hz. Husayn left Madina to go to Mecca. He dropped by Ibni Muti who was digging a well. Ibni Muti said: ‘I have already widened this well of mine but today there is no water coming to my bucket. If you pray for me, the water of the well will increase.’ Hz. Husayn said: ‘Bring me some water from the well!’ They brought him some water in a bucket. Imam Husayn drank a little water from it, he gargled some of it and blew out the water into the bucket again. After this, the water in the bucket increased and became sweeter.” (323) From Abu Avn:

(323) Ibni Sad, Tabakat, vol.5, p.144

322- “I have been to Karbala. A man stood up and asked:

‘Is Husayn among you?’ Muslims said that he was. The man said: ‘I give the good news that he will be thrown to fire.’ Imam Husayn (r.a.) said ‘I recieved the good news that I will embrace my Merciful Lord and My Prophet, who will intercede for people and who is obeyed by people.’ The Muslims asked the man who he was. When the man said he was Ibni Cuveyr (Cuveyze), Hz. Husayn prayed: ‘My God! Throw him to the fire!’ A little while after, the horse the man was riding had started with fear and had a shy. The man’s foot was hanging at the stirrup strap. I swear by Allah that the man was divided into pieces. There was only his foot left on the animal.” (324) From Ibni Vail b. Alkame:

(324) Taberani, Mecma’z Zevaid, vol. 9, p.193

323- “Whoever wants the world, the world attaches him. He that does not attach to it does not give any value to its comforts. He who desires the world is the slave of the person that rules it. The world is enough for you to content. You cannot be happy even if the entire world is yours. He who continues today’s life same as yesterday is deceived. He who does not search for his own faults has some deficiencies. Death is better for the person who lives with deficiencies.

Know that mildness is adornment or bravery. Hastiness is foolishness. Journey makes man weak. To be friends with the wicked people is a shame. To be friends with the impious attracts the suspicions of others.

Human beings are four groups: Some have a share of goodness and favor but no share of morality. Some have a good morality but no share of goodness and favors. Some have a share of neither of good morality nor goodness or favors. They are the worst people. Some have both good morality and a share in goodness and favors. They are the most exalted people.” (325) From Imam Hasan b. Ali (a.s.):

(325) Ibni Neccar, Kenz, vol.8, p.222; Ibni Asakir, Kenz, vol 8, p. 37

324- “One day, the Prophet of Allah came to our house and asked:

‘Where are my grandsons Hasan and Husayn?’ We were hungry that day. There was nothing even to taste at home. Hz. Ali said to the Prophet (a.s.v.): ‘I took them somewhere. I was afraid that they would start to cry when they saw you.’ When the Prophet heard this, he went to the house of the Jewish where his grandsons were. He saw them playing near the pond under a date tree. There were date seeds in front of them. The Prophet (a.s.v.) said to Hz. Ali (k.v.): ‘Ali, you had better take my sons home before it gets warmer.’ Hz. Ali said: ‘There is nothing to eat at home. We wake up hungry. O the Prophet, would you please sit here a while then I can pick up some dates for Fatima?’ The Prophet stayed there for a while and Hz. Ali picked some dates for Hz.Fatima and put them in a bag. The Prophet (a.s.v.) embraced one of the children and Ali the other and left there. They arrived home by changing children while carrying on the way.

Ata (r.a.) tells: ‘They reported that Hz. Ali said: ‘There was nothing to eat in our house and in the Prophet’s house for days so I went out. I saw a dinar on my way and I hesitated to take it or not but I had to take it due to the exhaustion of hunger. I bought some flour at the market and brought it home to Fatima. I told her to prepare dough by kneading it and she started to knead. She was so exhausted that she could not stand upright. She was shaking and her hair was touching the edge of the basin at every shaking of her. She made the bread and I told this to the Prophet meanwhile. The Prophet (a.s.v.) said: ‘You can eat it. It is the sustenance provided by God for you.’ Hz. Ali (k.v.) says: ‘I remember fastening stones on our stomach with the Prophet so that we would not feel the hunger but today the alms of my property make forty thousand dinars.’ ” (326) From Hz. Fatima:

(326) Hadislerle Müslümanlık vol.2, p.546

325- “During Uhud Battle, Hz. Ali (k.v.) came near Hz. Fatima (r.a.) and said: ‘Fatima, bring my sword! Do not worry! I am neither a coward nor a bad race. I swear by Allah I will struggle for the cause of Allah, who knows His servants very well, and in order to help Hz. Prophet.’ Hz. Prophet said addressing Ali: ‘Sehl b. Hureyf and Ibn as Summe fought as well as you.’ Meanwhile Gabriel said: ‘O Muhammad. He is more superior. He helped you more.’ The Prophet of Allah (s.a.v.) said: ‘O Gabriel! Ali is not a stranger; he is from Me.’ Gabriel added saying: ‘I am from both of you.’ ” (327)

(327) Hadislerle Müslümanlık vol. 2, p.546

326- ‘We set out for Haibar after staying there for three days. My uncle Amir was also with us. He started to say: ‘My God! If You had not been, we would not have found the right way, not given the alms and not performed our prayer. We cannot live without Your blessing. Give us peace. Protect us with Your blessing when we reach You!’ When the Prophet of Allah (a.s.v.) heard this, he asked who he was. They said it was Amir. He said addressing him: ‘May your Lord forgive your sins!’ Whoever the Prophet of Allah prayed for, he would be a martyr. Omar, who was on his horse, said: ‘I wish I would have been bestowed the favor that Amir had been.’

We arrived at Haibar. Murahhah went into the centre shaking his sword and started to read a poem: ‘Haibar knows that I am a brave, experienced warrior. I spread terror in my wars.’ Amir (r.a.) fought against him and said: ‘Haibar knows that I am a brave, experienced warrior too and I spread terror in the battles I join.’ They attacked each other twice. Murahhab tore the shield of Amir. Amir was pleased with it. Suddenly, his sword turned to himself by accident. He was wounded severely and he died.

I met a group of the Companions of the Prophet on my way. They said: ‘Amir’s deed was of no use because he killed himself.’ I came to the Prophet crying upon this. He asked what had happened. I said: ‘They tell that Amir’s deed was in vain.’ He asked who had said that. I answered that they were a group of his Companions. He said that they were wrong because just on the contrary, Amir had two folds reward. Later the Prophet of Allah (a.s.v.) called Ali (k.v.), who suffered from his eyes, and said: ‘Today, I will give the banner to the one who loves Allah and his Prophet.’ I went and brought Ali with me. The Prophet put his saliva on his eyes, he became well and he gave the banner to him. Murahhah said again: ‘Haibar knows that I am a brave, experienced warrior. I give terror in the wars I fought.’ Hz. Ali came out against him saying: ‘I am a person that is called as the lion by my mother. I look like a roaring lion and I spread death and terror to enemies!’ and he wounded him on his head in his first attack. He killed him without wasting time, so the conquest of Haibar was succeded. (328) From Salama bin Ekva:

(328) Hadislerle Müslümanlık vol.2, p. 548-549

327- “Hz. Ali (k.v.) gave some advice by writing the following letter to one of his governors: ‘Do not cut off your relation with people! If governors cut off their relations with people, their trouble increases. Their knowledge about the conditions and affairs of people decreases. If people cut off their relationship with their governors, they grew up without any knowledge. They do not show any respect to elders and any affection to the small ones. Beautiful is considered as ugly and ugly is considered as beautiful. They confuse the truth with falsehood. A governor cannot know the problems that people hide from him. He does not have any notes that will distinguish the correct words told him from the false ones so that he can solve the inconveniences caused due to the disconnection with people. You are either a very munificent person in dealing with justice because you can stay away from people for a long time. For, you give a lot or you donate much as you are a munificent person, or you are very mean that people gave up requesting anything from you as they have lost their hope that you will help them although they are in need of you very much. Therefore, you will have no problem of putting a lamb to put in a dark place and no problem of giving the right decision. Listen to me carefully after I say these. Be contended with your own share! Do not leave the righteousness!” (329) From Muhajir al Amir:

(329) Hadislerle Müslümanlık vol.3, p712

328- “Hz. Ali (k.v.) appointed a governor to beni Ukbera and said to me: ‘Iraq is a country where there are less Muslims.’ Then he continued: ‘Come to me at lunch time.’ Then, I went to him; he did not have a guard (warden). He was sitting alone and there was a cup and a glass of water. He ordered to bring a bag. I said to myself: ‘I do not know what it contains but I think he trusted me and he will give me some jewels.’ The bag was not open. He untied it. To my surprise, the bag was full of flour. He took out some flour, put some of it in a cup and poured some water on it. He drank it after mixing it and gave it to me to drink. I could not help myself asking him: ‘The Commander of Believers! Why are you eating this meal although there are very delicious meals in Iraq?’ He said: ‘I do not fasten this bag because I am very mean. I buy as much as I need and if it spills out, I am afraid that they make a meal with the thing that does not belong to me because I do not want to eat forbidden and uncertain things, therefore I fasten the bag.’ Amesh transmits that Hz. Ali used to eat meals he brought from Madina for lunch and dinner.” (330) From a man that belonged to Sakif tribe:

329- “One day while Hz. Abu Baqir was delivering a sermon at the pulpit, Hz. Hasan came there and told him to go down from his father’s place. Hz. Ali (k.v.) told Hz. Abubaqir (r.a.) to make sure he will not think that he taught it to the child to speak like that: ‘We certainly did not teach the child to say so.’ ” (331) Urve tells it:

330- “Hz. Omar was reading a sermon at the pulpit. Hz. Ali’s son Hz. Husayn came up and went near him. He said: ‘Go down from my father’s place.’ Hz. Omar (r.a.) said: ‘Yes, the pulpit is your father’s, my father does not have a pulpit. Who taught this to you?’ Hz. Ali (k.v.) stood up and said: ‘Nobody taught him this.’ He scolded the child saying: ‘I will ask this to you, the naughty boy!’ Hz. Omar said: ‘Do not touch my nephew. He is telling the truth. This is his father’s place.”

Imam Husayn (r.a.), the son of Hz. Ali (k.v.) said:

“I ascended the pulpit when Hz. Omar was there. I told him to descend from my father’s pulpit and to ascend to his father’s pulpit. He said that his father did not have pulpit and made me sit next to him. While we were going home, he asked me who had taught it to me and I told him that nobody had taught it to me. Hz. Omar (r.a.) invited me to their house the next day.

I went to his house one day. He was with Muawiyah and Ibnu Omar was at the door. I wanted permission but they did not give, so I left there without entering the house. Later Hz. Omar saw me and asked me why I had not gone there. I told him that I went there but he was with Muawiyah. When Ibnu Omar returned without entering the house, I also went back. Hz. Omar:

‘You are not like my son Abdullah. You could enter the house because firstly Allah and then you enabled us to be Muslims and he stroked my head.’ ” (332) From Abu’l Bahteri:

331- “Two persons came near Hz. Ali (k.v.) to solve a problem. Hz. Ali sat at the bottom of a wall, thereupon a man said: ‘O the Commander of the Believers, the wall will collapse.’ Hz. Ali (k.v.) said: ‘Go away! Allah protects us.’ He solved the problem between those two people. The wall collapsed after he stood up.” (333) From the father of Cafer b. Muhammad (r.a.):

332- “If religion was according to people’s opinions, it would be better to wipe the beneath of the light thin-soled boot (mest) with hand in ablution than wiping the upper side of it. However, I saw the Prophet (a.s.v.) wiping the upper side of the boots.” (334) From Hz. Ali (k.v.):

(334) From Abu Davud, Taharet 6

333- “I came to ask Hz. Aisha about wiping the boots in ablution. She said to me: ‘I advise you Hz. Ali (k.v.) to ask about this because he has been on journeys with the Prophet (a.s.v.).’ ” (335) From Hz. Ali (k.v.):

334- “Even if the world has only one day left, Allah will lengthen that day and He will send a person from me on that day. Ibnu Mes’ud says that the Prophet (a.s.v.) said that if a person’s name from my Ahlal Bayt is like mine, if his father’s name is like my father’s, this person fills the earth with justice and equity although it was filled with injustice and tyranny in the past.” (336) From Ibnu Mas’ud (r.a.):

335- “The world has turned behind and going; the hereafter has turned towards and approaching. Both of them have sons special for them. You! Be the sons of the next world! Do not be the sons of this world, for, today there is action but no reckoning (account), tomorrow, there is reckoning but no action.” (337) From Hz. Ali (k.v.):

336- “The Prophet (a.s.v.) sent Zubayr, Mikdad and me and told us to go to Rawzatul Hahnam and to find the woman who had a letter and to bring the letter back to him. We went there very quickly riding our house. We arrived at Rawza. When we met the woman, we told her to give us the letter but the woman said that he had not a letter. We spoke to her seriously and threatened to rob her unless she gave us the letter. She took the letter from the plaits of her hair and we brought it to the Prophet (a.s.v.).

The letter was written to some polytheists in Mecca by Hatib ibnu Belte.” (338) From Hz. Ali (k.v.):

337- “Hz. Prophet (a.s.v.) had forgiven the people of Mecca altogether except a few of them on the Qonquest day of Mecca. He made Bilal recite the prayer to call Muslims (ezan) when it was noontime. This ezan became the source of grief for some Meccans:

Abu Jahil’s daughter Cuveyriye said: ‘What a great favor of Allah for my father not to be present there while Bilal was braying on the Kaaba.’

Halid ibnu Esed said: ‘Allah bestowed a favor that my father had not seen this day.’

Haris ibnu Hişam said: ‘I wish I had died before this day.’

Abu Sufyan said: ‘I will not say anything, if I say something, even these pebbles will inform him.’

Thereupon the Prophet (a.s.v.) came up and said: ‘I know what you have said’ and he repeated all of it. Haris and Attab said: ‘We witness that you are the Prophet of Allah because only Allah and those who are with us knew this.’ The commanding was given to Hz. Ali (k.v.) during the conquest of Mecca.” (339)

338- “Yazit (the curse of God) appointed Ubeydullah ibni Ziyad to Kufe as a governor and he appointed Omar ibnu Sad Ebi Vakkas as a commander against Husayn (a.s.). He promised him the government of Rey in return of the victory he would win against Husayn. He martyred Husayn and 72 personalities with 19 people from their families. Omar b. Sad sent the holy heads to Ubeydullah b. Ziyad, the commander of the cursed Yazit. Ibni Zayd gathered people at Kufa and brought the holy heads. He prodded (pushed) the head of Husayn in front of the eyes of people with the stick he was holding. He put it between his lips and he did not lift it. Zayd b. Erkam (r.a.), who saw this insult shouted: ‘Take back that stick, I swear by Allah, who is the sole God, that I saw the Prophet (a.s.v.) kissing these lips’ and he started to cry. Cruel Ibni Ziyad said: ‘May Allah take out your eyes while you are crying. I would cut off your head if you were not an old dotard.’ While Zayd ibnu Erkam (r.a.) was leaving that place, he said: ‘O the people, you are a slave after this. You murdered Hz. Fatima’s son Hz. Husayn (a.s.) and you made Ibnu Mercane a chief over you. He will kill your good ones and make your bad ones a slave.’

Allah punished the cursed Yazit’s commander Ubedullah b. Ziyad while he was in this world. A tiny snake that appeared unexpectedly entered through his nose, came out from his mouth and disappeared. This was a sign and a warning of Allah in return of what was done to Hz. Husayn. (s.a.).

When that cursed person was killed by Muhtar es Sakafi, that snake was still going through his nose and coming from his mouth.” (340)

339- “When any food was brought to the Prophet (a.s.v.), he would ask the nature of this food. If they said that it was a present, he would eat it. If they said it was alms, he would not eat it but he would give it to his Companions to eat.” (341) From Abu Hurayra:

340- “People will be as assemblies on the day of Resurrection. Each umma will follow its own Prophet. They will say: ‘Whosoever, intercede for us.’ Finally, intercession will be given to me. This is the Rank of Mahmud!’ ” (341) From Ibni Omar (r.a.):

341-“I listened to Hz. Ali (k.v.). He reported from the Prophet (a.s.v.): The Prophet (a.s.v.) said:

‘A man will come from Transoxiana (Maveraünnehir). He will be called el Haris Harrras (farmer).

There will be man called Mansur in front of his army. He will prepare the conditions for the Family of Muhammad and make the Caliphate possible (with his property, treasure and guns) same as the Kuraysh people helped the Prophet (a.s.v.). All the Muslims are obliged to help him.’ ” (343) From Hilal Ibnu Amr:

342- “Marwan was the first person who made the recital of the Bairam Sermon before the prayer. When he attempted to do this, a man from congregation stood up and said: ‘You are doing a wrong action because prayer must be performed before the sermon.’ Marwan said that it was an old way and wanted to continue in his own way. Abu Said ul Hudri (r.a.) came up and said: ‘This man warned him as he was supposed to do, for; I heard the Prophet (a.s.v.) saying: ‘If anybody sees a bad action that is not in accordance with my Sunna, he must correct it with his hand. If he cannot, let him to correct it with his tongue, if he cannot do it, let him hate with his heart. This is the weakest rank of the faith.” (344) From Tariq Ibn Shiab:

(344) Melahim 17; Muslim, İman 78; Abu Davud, Salati İydeyn 248; Thirmizi, Fiten 11,

Note: The Sultans of Umayyads used to say political words that would disturb the congregation during the sermon. They would curse firstly Hz. Ali (k.v.) and Ahl-al Bayt. (Let this curse be upon those who curse them!). Those who wanted to perform their worship but did not want to listen to them would leave the mosque before the sermon started after performing their prayer. In order to prevent this marwan put the sermon before the prayer.

343- “The Prophet (a.s.v.) said: “Allah took a solemn promise from each Prophet that if He sent Muhammad while he was alive, he would have faith in him and he would help him. He also ordered each Prophet that their people would have faith in him and help him if he came while they lived.” (345) From Ibni Abbas (r.a.) and Hz. Ali (k,v.):
